RTÉ ‘God Slot’ tonight on King James Bible 400th Anniversary

‘The God Slot’ on RTE Radio One this evening, Friday 18 November 2011, will include an interview with Church of Ireland cleric the Revd Stanley Gamble (author of A Time to Dance) as part of ongoing celebrations for the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.

Presenter Eileen Dunne will ask Stanley about the background of the King James Bible and the impact it has had on church and society. The programme airs this evening just after the RTE News at 10p.m. See also: http://www.rte.ie/radio1/thegodslot/

Mr Gamble also represented the Good Book Shop, Belfast, along with Revd Adrian McLaughlin, Chairman of the Pipe Organ Preservation Trust, at a special Service of Thanksgiving for the 400th Anniversary of the King James Bible at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday 16 November. H.M. the Queen and other members of the Royal Family were in attendance, as was the Archbishop of Armagh, The Most Revd Alan Harper, OBE. The Gospel was read by the Archbishop of York, The Most Revd Dr John Sentamu and the sermon was preached by the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd Dr Rowan Williams.
