The Revd Pat Storey Interviewed on Soul Waves Radio
Bishop elect of Meath and Kildare, the Revd Pat Storey, speaks of her forthcoming role in this week’s interviews for Soul Waves Radio.
Speaking with Conor Deane from Soul Waves Radio she admitted that she “was blind sided” and “didn’t see it coming. I thought maybe Richard (Archbishop of Armagh) was joking.”
Asked about becoming the first female bishop Rev Storey said gender was a secondary concern.
“I know it is an issue for some, but for me it isn’t a big deal. I am simply Pat and always will be.” she revealed.
Soul Waves Radio supplies over 30 local and community radio stations throughout Ireland with news, reaction stories and features. Each week, three interviews, edited and ready for transmission, are broadcast and posted to their website, reaching an estimated audience of 300,000.
