Details of 2013 Walk of Light Announced

Walk of Light – An Inter–Church Journey takes place this year on Sunday November 24 starting at 4.00 pm.

Sponsored by the Dublin Council of Churches, all are welcome to join this ecumenical journey.

As the churches prepare for a “new year” with the coming of Advent, the journey together is a simple sign of belonging together as Christians. They set out together to declare publicly, as Christmas approaches, that Christ is the light that has come into the world.

The motto for this year’s journey is: Go in Peace to Love and Serve. The theme will be explored as participants visit the three host churches along the way. They will stay for a short act of worship in the style of the congregation visited and then walk to the next church.
