Huge Range of Events on Offer for Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2014

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2014 runs from January 18 to 25 with the inaugural service taking place on Sunday January 19 at 8.00 pm, in St Fintan’s Roman Catholic church, Greenfield Road, Sutton, Dublin 3.

The opening service will be attended by church leaders from many different traditions ad Canon Desmond Sinnamon will preach.

Throughout the week numerous services and events will take place and they are detailed in full below. Alternatively you can download Dublin Council of Churches’ leaflet here.

Archbishop Michael Jackson will preach at a service in St Joseph’s Church, Templerainey, Arklow, on Monday January 20 at 8.00 pm.

This year’s theme, ‘Is Christ Divided?’, was chosen by the French Canadian Churches, based on St Paul’s question in 1 Corinthians. Dublin Council of Churches would like to encourage everyone to support events in their areas.
