The November edition of The Church Review is out this weekend. This month’s Dublin and Glendalough diocesan magazine is packed full of news and information, keeping readers up to date with what has been going on in recent weeks and with forthcoming events.
Among this month’s offerings are pictures and reports from the opening of parish facilities in Whitechurch, Newcastle and Newtownmountkennedy and Arklow. Ordinations to the Diaconate and the Priesthood are featured in words and photographs and there is news of the dedication of a plaque in memory of Seamus Heaney in Nun’s Cross
There is a report from Dublin Council of Churches forum on the Reformation. The first Board of Education conference for Protestant Second Level Schools and first start of year service for second level is covered as is the annual diocesan primary schools’ service.
There is an insight into what is happening with Dublin’s church plant, the ICON Community, led by the Revd Eoghan Heaslip and his family.
In his regular column, Canon Patrick Comerford writes about ‘Zorba the Greek’ which he says continues to challenge myths after 50 years.
There is also news from Christ Church Cathedral and St Patrick’s Cathedral and the usual extensive roundup of notes from the parishes.
