Eco Congregation Urges Support for Earth Hour This Saturday
Earth Hour will take place this Saturday, March 28 and Eco Congregation hopes that people will join in this global initiative by switching off their lights from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
There are special events taking place around the country to mark Earth Hour. In Dublin, Rathfarnham Quakers will be holding a 45 minute candle–lit reflection, including readings, prayers, poems and silent worship followed by Fairtrade refreshments. All are welcome to this event taking place at Rathfarnham Quaker Meeting, 62 Crannagh Road, Dublin 14. People are asked to arrive around 8.15 pm before the lights are switched off at 8.30 pm. Feel free to bring along a reading to share.
Earth Hour is a great opportunity for people across the globe to join in the world’s largest display of environmental action. Eco Congregation would like to encourage everyone to play your part!
