ANOIS 2015 – Risk Takers Explore Courageous Faith
ANOIS 2015 takes place in Wilson’s Hospital School, Multyfarnham, Mullingar from Saturday October 24 to Monday October 26 (bank holiday weekend).
ANOIS is an annual residential weekend organised by the Church of Ireland Youth Department for young people of secondary school age from across the island. CIYD wants to encourage young people to explore faith “NOW”: Remember your Creator in the days of your youth– Ecclesiastes 12:1. Young people will gather to learn from the Bible, to praise God, to pray and of course to have as much fun together as they can possibly squeeze into one weekend.
The theme chosen for this year’s event is “Risk Takers”. This year during worship times, participants will be exploring the stories of young people in the Bible who were courageous in their faith. Their stories will help young people consider what it means to have a true and courageous faith in 2015.The main speaker will be Alex Brown of Scripture Union, Isle of Man. Worship will be led by the Mark Ferguson Band.
The programme at ANOIS 2015 will include the following: Bible Teaching, Sung Praise and Worship, Small group times for fun, exploration, discussion and prayer, Inflatable Bungee Run, Rodeo Bull & Surf Simulator, Chill Zone with more games than ever before, Pancakes, Disco, Table Quiz, Pamper Zone, Giant Games, Crafts, Some old favourites including soccer; uni–hockey; basketball, Sacred Space – A special place set aside to pause…pray…reflect…a space to explore faith and be creative, Talent show, Café, THE ELIMINATOR CHALLENGE, Creative baking, Lots of food & a little bit of sleep!
