Powerscourt Parish School Collecting Hygiene Kits for Calais Refugees

A group of parents from Powerscourt National School in Enniskerry is organising a collection of male hygiene kits to be sent to refugees in Calais. They are appealing for donations of individually packaged male hygiene kits to be dropped off at the school this Friday evening, September 11, between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm.

Suggested kit contents include: toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shampoo/shower gel, razors, sponge or flannel, plasters, paracetamol, tissues, hand sanitiser and lip balm. Each kit should be packaged in a Ziploc bag.

The kits can be dropped off at the school, opposite St Patrick’s Church, Powerscourt, on Friday evening and they will be delivered to Cork to be included in the convoy which leaves for Calais on September 30.

The organisers are happy to take other items needed in the Calais camps. There is a full list of items required on the Ireland Calais Refugee Solidarity Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/IrelandCalaisRefugeeSolidarity
