Unique Charabanc Portrait Exhibition This Weekend Near Bray
This weekend (September 18, 19 and 20) there will be a solo exhibition of portraits featuring the individuals of Charabanc, a resource organisation in the Bray, Enniskerry and Kilmacanogue areas.
Approximately 20 virtuoso portraits of the Charabanc individuals rendered in a modern portrait style by local fine artist, Dermot Cranny, will be displayed in a unique exhibition at Kilcroney Furniture, just off the N11 at exit 7.
Charabanc is an interdenominational organisation that provides a free community resource service to the senior citizens in the north County Wicklow area. For 17 years Charabanc has provided varied forms of retirement activities and events for seniors. For this exhibition several local businesses have generously provided sponsorship to defray costs. Any remaining funds will go to Charabanc.
Dermot Cranny has worked as a professional graphic artist, illustrator, set designer and scenic painter for stage, television and film productions. His work is featured in galleries and private collections in Ireland and throughout the world.
The opening ceremony takes place this evening, Friday September 18, in Kilcroney Furniture from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
The exhibition opening hours are from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm on Friday, and from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. This is a non profit event so there will be no entrance fee and there will be no sales at the exhibition. Following the exhibition the framed portraits will be presented to the featured individuals free of charge.
