Glendalough Clergy Hold Annual Gathering in Laragh
Clergy from the Diocese of Glendalough gathered in Laragh, County Wicklow, yesterday morning (Friday December 11) for the annual Glendalough Clergy Day. Following a service in St John’s Church, Laragh, clergy proceeded to the Wicklow Heather Restaurant for their meeting which was attended by Archbishop Michael Jackson and Dean Dermot Dunne. The gathering was organised by the Archdeacon of Glendalough, the Ven Ricky Rountree and was followed by lunch.
Among the items on the agenda were the Come&C initiative, the link with the Diocese of Jerusalem, homelessness, charities legislation and parish accounting, chaplaincy and confirmations. The clergy were joined by the the diocesan youth work coordinator, Eric Denner, who spoke about grant applications and devolved funding for youth ministry initiatives.
