Great American Songbook at Christ Church Cathedral in Aid of Bishops’ Appeal

An evening of fabulous, feel–good, popular classics and show songs is on the cards for a special fundraising concert in Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday June 16. Irish tenor, Paul Byrom, will be appearing in Christ Church with the Midwest Young Artists Conservatory Orchestra for a concert of songs straight out of the Big American Songbook. Funds raised on the night will go to the work of Bishops’ Appeal, the Church of Ireland’s overseas aid and development organisation.

This promises to be a very special evening of music. Paul Byrom’s talent has taken him far and wide. Some of his performing highlights to date have been for Emperor Ahikito of Japan, former Irish Presidents Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese and current President of the United States, Barak Obama.

Midwest Young Artists are based in Chicago. They will be touring Ireland this summer and the cathedral is delighted that they have chosen Christ Church as one of the venues for their concerts with Paul Byrom.

Tickets for Great American Songbook are available now, priced €15, from the cathedral website at https://www.topattractionsireland.com/index.cfm/christchurchcathedral/select-tickets/?attractionid=97
