Vacancy – Organist and Choir–Director – Parishes of Castleknock and Mulhuddart with Clonsilla
The Rector and Select Vestries of the Parishes of Castleknock and Mulhuddart with Clonsilla wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Organist and Choir–Director.
Both St. Brigid’s, Castleknock and St. Mary’s Clonsilla, are well supported churches with dynamic parishioner participation in all related activities. Parishioners are of all age groups and from many parts of the world attend services on a regular basis.
Sunday services take place at the following times:
- St. Mary’s, Clonsilla at 10.00 a.m.
- St. Brigid’s, Castleknock at 11.30 a.m.
The celebration of the Eucharist takes place on 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays; Morning Prayer takes places on 2nd Sunday; a Service of the Word – all age worship on 4th Sunday of each month. Additionally, there are services at Holy Week, Easter and other occasional services – see the web–site for details. Modern and traditional hymns/music is used.
St. Mary’s Clonsilla has an Allen organ, and in St. Brigid’s a Forster and Andrews two manual pipe organ with pedals, both well maintained.
The choir, which is well supported by both parishes, has a central role to play, and has been developing. Currently it meets once a month, for a practice.
An attractive salary, in accordance with Church Music Dublin will apply.
