Come&Celebrate Sunday – Countdown to 5 Marks Challenge Launch
Come&Celebrate Sunday is almost upon us. Sunday September 18 has been designated as a day of celebration to mark the success of the Come&C initiative and launch the Come&C 5 Marks Challenge. Services will take place throughout Dublin and Glendalough with every parish in the United Dioceses invited to join in.
A special Order of Service has been prepared and clergy and readers are encouraged to use the material either as a free standing act of worship of as the first part of a celebration of Holy Communion. The service sheet has been sent out to all parishes and it can also be downloaded by Clicking Here.
A short video launching the Come&C 5 Marks Challenge has also been sent to all parishes and it may be shown during or after the service.
Looking forward to Come&Celebrate Sunday, Archbishop Michael Jackson said: “My hope is that all parishes who wish to be part of this now well–established diocesan initiative will use this material and enjoy it”.
The Come&C 5 Marks Challenge is a discipleship programme based on individuals completing activities or ‘challenges’ relating to one or more of the Five Marks of Mission of the Anglican Communion. Eleven participants from five parishes have been involved in the pilot programme and were awarded the ribbon relating to their particular mark at a Service in Christ Church Cathedral and this is a short video of some of their experiences.
Information on the 5 Marks Challenge and criteria for participation is available on the diocesan website at: http://dublin.anglican.org/Come-and-C
