Services Marking St Patrick’s Day in Christ Church and St Patrick’s Cathedrals

Christ Church Cathedral will hold two services to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. Tonight (Thursday March 16) there will be a festival Evensong with the combined choirs of Christ Church Cathedral and St Mary’s Pro Cathedral to promote a shared desire for Christian unity. The service starts at 6.00 pm and will be led by Archbishop Michael Jackson and Archbishop Diarmuid Martin. All are very welcome to attend.

Tomorrow, on St Patrick’s Day, there will be a celebration of the Eucharist and blessing of the shamrock on at 2.30 pm as thanksgiving for the legacy of this missionary and patron saint of Ireland.

St Patrick’s Cathedral will celebrate their Patronal Day with a special Eucharist at 11.15 am tomorrow morning.

A special ecumenical celebration of Ireland’s patron saint in word, song and traditional Irish music will take place in St Patrick’s Cathedral tomorrow evening at 6.00 pm. This event is organised by Dublin Council of Churches.
