Zion Parish National School Reformation 500 Project Set to Cover the Globe – The Internet is Their Gutenburg Press
Today, October 31, marks the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses. To mark the occasion, Zion Parish Primary School has produced a pamphlet of their own entitled ‘On the nature of disagreement: Reformations within’, which was launched last Sunday in Zion.
Now the pupils are seeking your help to spread the word. The internet is their Gutenburg Press and they would like you to forward their pamphlet to everyone in their online address book. Their aim is to cover the globe as a continuation of their project. They particularly want you to send it to far flung corners of the world (USA, Europe and Australia are already covered).
They want you to ask your contacts to pass their pamphlet on and let them know where it ends up. Those receiving the pamphlet should email where they are in the world to zionluther517@gmail.com
A world map will be created showing the spread across the globe of their Luther Project. The children will be directly involved with this as an educational project. This dissemination will mirror and go beyond what happened in 1517. The internet is their Gutenberg Press.
Edited by Tom Conaty and Seamus Cashman, the pamphlet is a modern day discourse with 95 contributions. The orientation is reform from within, with contributors sharing something vital that they have learned. The contributions are in the form of passages from the Bible or other Holy Books, or works drawn on for inspiration, with commentary.
“This pamphlet, ‘On the nature of disagreement: Reformations within’, is a manual for living and a satnav mapping the wisdom of the local community for its readers,” the introduction says.
