#ShineYourLight on Easter Eve

#ShineYourLight on Easter Eve

Throughout Ireland at 9pm this evening – Saturday April 11 – households are being asked to join the #ShineYourLight campaign to remember those who have lost their lives to Covid–19 and their loved ones and to thank frontline staff for their crucial work during this crisis.

In normal times, parish churches throughout the country would light paschal fires for the Easter Vigil at 9pm. In Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, the paschal fire will be lit in the heart of the labyrinth as part of its Easter Vigil at 9pm. Throughout the service appropriate social distancing will be observed. Archbishop Michael Jackson is inviting you to join the Easter Vigil on the cathedral’s webcam here.

As an extra dimension this evening, you are invited to #ShineYourLight to welcome the light of the Resurrection into your homes while also praying for those effected by this global pandemic and all who work in the frontline to help us.
