Worship from Home: Church Online, Holy Week Reflections and Music

Daily Reflections During Lent
Our Diocesan Readers have been producing excellent short reflections every day during Lent. The archbishop provides the reflections on Sundays.
Entitled ‘Walking in the Wilderness with Jesus’, the series of short reflections are posted daily on the United Dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough YouTube channel (subscribe now so as not to miss a post) and are available on the Diocesan Website, Facebook page and Twitter. Please like them and share them.
Diocesan Readers contributing their reflections for the coming week will be: Margaret Healion from Zion (Saturday), Myra Moody from Donoughmore and Donard with Dunlavin (Monday), Joan Forsdyke from Rathfarnham (Tuesday), Ruth Gyves from Rathmines (Wednesday), and Ernest Mackey bringing the series to a close on Thursday.
Good Friday – Living With Jesus in the City of Jerusalem
On Good Friday we invite you to join us online for a time of reflection on the Passion Narrative as told in St Matthew’s Gospel.
‘Living with Jesus in Jerusalem’ will feature seven reflections which will begin at 12 noon. A new reflection will be available every half hour, concluding at 3pm. These reflections will, of course, be available to watch afterwards at a time that suits you.
The reflections, which will last no more than 10 minutes, will be given by Archbishop Michael Jackson; Sylvia Armstrong a Diocesan Reader in Rathcoole; the Revd Neal Phair, Rector of Swords; Susie Keegan, Diocesan Youth Ministry Coordinator, Jane Burns, an ordinand in the Church of Ireland Theological Institute from Athy; and the Revd Dr William Olhausen, Rector of Killiney, St Matthias.
The Passion Narrative will be read by the Revd Cathy Hallissey, Rector of Powerscourt with Kilbride and the Revd Sean Hanily, Rector of Rathmichael.

Online Choir Presents ‘The Crucifixion’
Available from Palm Sunday
On Sunday March 28 (Palm Sunday) at 12 noon Church of Ireland Choirs Online under the Direction of Kevin O’Sullivan will present The Crucifixion by John Stainer.
Produced by Big Red Box Media Ltd, featuring Tenor Rev Jack Kinkead and Bass Brian Hennessey with Organist Dr David O’Shea, this work was filmed and recorded virtually, and in Sandford Parish Church.
