Scam email alert
It has come to our attention that there are a number of scam emails circulating which purport to come from members of the clergy. The emails use the name of the person but do not come from their usual email address.
Anyone receiving a communication from a member of the clergy which comes from an unfamiliar email address and which looks suspicious should not respond. Do not click links contained within the email or download any attachments and do not send money or give personal information. Please pay particular attention to the email address and the content of the email.
If you receive what you believe to be a spoof/spearphising email, please contact the person concerned via an alternative trusted method of communication to alert them.
