On Monday we drew to a close our visit to Kalimpong and Dr Graham’s Homes School.

First we visited a paramedical training school where the DGH is in partnership with the Government of India enabling women to develop skills and get employment in the healthcare sector.

Next we visited the Cottage for the smallest children where we got an overwhelming sense of care and compassion offered to children abandoned as early as nine days old. Personally, it was my first time to visit such a facility. There also is a children’s church in the grounds.

Then we met the headmaster of Dr Graham’s Homes School and visited the Dr Graham Museum where a number of artefacts associated with Dr Graham are on display. It is very clear that Dr Graham, who became the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in North India, continues to be held in high regard.

The OBG Old Boys and Girls Association is imbued with an ethic of service in response to the care and security offered while in school.Dr Graham’s Homes is worthy of support.
