Vacancy – Director of Music – Whitechurch Parish – Dublin
Whitechurch Parish wishes to recruit a Director of Music. Duties to include:–
- Direct all worship music and Choir for 10.30am Sunday service. (Rehearsals currently occasional Sunday mornings prior to 10.30am Service).
- Available for occasional extra services, such as during Holy Week, Evening Harvest, Youth and Carol Services.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Coordinate with the Rector to select music to be performed.
- Submit requests for music resources to the Rector for approval.
- Observe all safety and security requirements
- Monitor church musical instruments and advise the Rector of any needed repair, preventative maintenance, or replacement.
- Recruit and train choir members.
- Organise and direct informal efforts to familiarise the congregation with new and alternative music as required.
- Possess high competence in all aspects of vocal keyboard/piano/organ.
- Ability to play other instruments an advantage but not essential.
