New Book Offers Perspectives on Pastoral Ministry
A new publication entitled ‘Perspectives on Pastoral Ministry’ by Rev’d Canon Dr Maurice Elliott and Rev’d Dr Patrick McGlinchey was officially launched in CITI on Monday 18th May by Rt Rev’d Ian Ellis, The book completes a three–volume series, the earlier titles of which considered Preaching and Spirituality & Prayer.
Speaking at the launch Bishop Ian Ellis commented, ‘What this book does so well is to ground pastoral practice with a theological underpinning. It brings together the best of Anglicanism and other church practices of pastoral care and incorporates these with theological insights. It is also an inspiration to better and more wide–ranging pastoral practice.
